Lisa Brunetta

Individual Artist
Born in Barrie, Ontario, Lisa has recently returned to her home town after 22 years in the Outaouais, the National Capital region of Canada. Her university studies culminated with a B.A. in Translation at the University of Ottawa. Primarily self-taught, her art education in a variety of media has been enhanced for the last twenty years with courses in Ottawa-Gatineau and those at the Haliburton School of the Arts. Lisa taught community courses in stained glass and jewellery techniques for four years for the City of Gatineau (Alymer Sector) through the Aylmer Arts Council in both French and English. She has exhibited sculpture, jewellery and stained glass in Ontario and Quebec. She has earned awards for her sculpture, both from the public and from her peers. Her work has been published and promoted in several newspapers, in a national sculpture magazine and in catalogues. Lisa sculpts in wire and designs stained glass and jewellery art pieces. In all mediums recycled materials are incorporated whenever possible, as an extension of Lisa’s personal reduce, reuse, recycle philosophy.
