Allison Gold is a classically trained soprano and arts administrator from Barrie, Ontario. She began her vocal studies with Renee Cingolani, performed with the Kempenfelt Community Players and attended Barrie Central Collegiate. Allison studied at Queen's University under the vocal tutelage of Elizabeth McDonald and Ewelina Kwasniewska as well as Gregory Brookes, Dianne Baird, Shelley Katz and Diana Gilchrist. In Kingston, she performed in the Queen's Choral Ensemble, the Queen's Chamber Choir and in the Queen's Student Opera Company. More recently, Allison sang with the King Edward Choir as a soloist and first soprano chorister in their 60th anniversary season. Allison is currently working as Administrative Assistant for the 4th annual Aurora Jazz+ Festival. This fall, she is leaving to study in the UK at Goldsmiths, University of London for the MA in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy: Music Pathway, and later hopes to manage an opera company.
