Bright, dynamic, charismatic and fun are just a few of the attributes that describe Monica. Since starting dance training at the age of three, nothing has stopped Monica from succeeding in her chosen field. She is a full member (Ballet-Chechetti) with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, full member (jazz and tap) Dance Educators of America has trained with the National Ballet of Canada," Steps" on Broadway in New York City, Broadway Dance Center, she is a former graduate, student, performer and instructor of Canada's Randolph Dance Academy for the Performing Arts Private training institution. Monica is Canada’s only certified 2nd Generation Hayward Method Pilates Master Instructor. Monica is well known for he active involvement in the St Lawrence College Music Theatre Performance Program. Acting and advising on the steering committee, creating the curriculum and headed the Dance Departartment for over 5 years. In this role Monica was head Instructor, choreographer and director of programs major productions and musicals.
Monica has owned and operated the MBS Performing Arts Institute, Tranter Institute and Ten Talent Management for over 15 years training and managing some of Canada’s leading singers, dancers and actors. Monica has worked on feature films such as Take the Lead, Honey, Chicago, Steppin' Up and more. She has personally worked with Janet Jackson, Shakira, Gwen Stefani, Showtime, Susan Sarandon, Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renee Zellweger, Dan Ackroyd, The Tragically Hip, Canadian idols and the So you think you can dance team and many more.
As a professional dancer, entertainer and trainer Monica has worked world wide offering workshops, choreography, instruction, injury rehabilitation to business men and women, seniors, dancers, gymnasts, skaters, tri-athletes, football players, hockey players and athletes at all levels but specializing at a professional or Olympic level. With her recent Doctorate in Dance and Social Studies Monica offers training, consulting and mentoring throughout the world through her Dancers Beware intensives and her Tranter Pilates specialized equipment and certification program. She continues to educate and share her expertise and passion for dance, movement and the performing arts.
