Maps is an indie rock band from the suburbs of Barrie, Ontario. The band was formed in early 2010 and has been writing original material, and playing a diverse style of music inspired by bands such as; Coldplay, Dredg, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Opeth (just to name a few). Their music is driven by powerful guitar riffs and melodic vocal lines, with a tight drum and bass sound. In October of 2010 the band entered the studio and completed four tracks for the their first EP, which are available online and on disc. A Full length will be in the works in the year 2011, and the members are very excited to present their catalog of songs live and on record.
